Measured Building Surveys
OmegaGeo are firmly established as Kent’s leading experts in Measured Building Surveys.
Using 3D laser scanners, total stations and latest technology including UAV/drones and mobile transportation platforms, we are able to accurately and efficiently collect measured data to produce detailed plans, elevations and sectional drawings of a building or environment that are fit for purpose.
A Measured Building Survey provides the most efficient method for accurate planning – often reducing the likelihood of cost and error that may encountered later in a project, by discovering unforeseen problems in the early stages.
Our Measured Building Services range from simple unconnected surveys, suitable for use for determining lettable areas, to semi-connected surveys, where just part of a building is surveyed, to comprehensive connected surveys, suitable for when major structural changes are proposed.
The majority of our clients commission Measured Surveys in order to plan development or refurbishment, such as converting an office block into flats. We have measured many types of structures, including hospitals, multi-storey carparks, offices, schools, theatres and libraries. We are specialists in Measured Surveys on Historical Buildings for a range of purposes, including archiving and interior design.
Ensuring that every survey we do is fit for purpose, we go to great lengths at the outset of every project to ensure we fully understand the level of accuracy and precision required. We know what questions to ask before we plan each survey to ensure we employ the most efficient methodology and are able to fulfill our customer’s expectations.
Deliverables can be produced in a variety of formats – from 2D plans to 3D BIM ready models, floorplans, sections and elevations. Our drawings can also be linked to the Ordnance Survey Grid & Datum as part of a larger site survey or on an arbitrary datum to suit the project specific requirements.
